Finn loved to fish at the old wooden dock. One evening, he caught something amazing.
The fish was silver and gold, and it sparkled like a tiny sun.
"Please let me go," said the fish, "and I will grant you three wishes."
Finn's eyes went wide. THREE WISHES!
"I wish for a mountain of toys!" said Finn.
POOF! Toys appeared everywhere. So many toys he couldn't see his room anymore.
At first it was fun. Then it was crowded. Then it was lonely. You can't hug a toy mountain.
"I wish the toys were gone," Finn said quietly.
POOF! They vanished. He had one wish left.
Finn thought for a long time. What did he really, truly want?
He walked to the dock. He sat and watched the sunset paint the water orange and pink. His dog came and sat beside him. His father brought him a sandwich.
"This is nice," Finn thought. "This is really nice."
The Wish Fish appeared in the water.
"Ready for your last wish?"
Finn smiled. "I wish... for more days like this. Quiet ones. With my dog and my dad and sandwiches and sunsets."
The fish's eyes sparkled. "That is the wisest wish of all. You don't need magic for that wish, Finn. You just need to notice what you already have."
The fish swam away.
And Finn? He had exactly what he wished for, every single day.
