Leo built the best blanket fort ever.
Four chairs. Two blankets. Six pillows. One flashlight.
He crawled inside and clicked on the flashlight.
That's when something magical happened.
The blankets began to glow. The pillows began to move. And a tiny voice said, "Welcome to the Kingdom of Soft."
A pillow with button eyes bowed before him.
"I am Queen Cushion," she said. "We have waited long for a brave builder like you."
Leo looked around. His blanket fort had become a castle! The flashlight was now a glowing torch. The floor was made of clouds.
"Our kingdom is in trouble," said the Queen. "The Dust Bunnies have stolen our coziness. Everything is cold and scratchy. Will you help us?"

Leo was scared. But he was also brave.
"I'll help," he said.
The Queen gave him a sword made of a cardboard tube and armor made of soft fleece.
Leo found the Dust Bunnies hiding under the far corner of the fort. They were gray and grumpy.
"Why did you steal the coziness?" Leo asked.
"Because no one ever invites us in," said the biggest Dust Bunny. "We're always swept away."
Leo had an idea. "What if you helped MAKE things cozy instead of taking coziness away?"
The Dust Bunnies looked at each other. No one had ever asked them to help before.
They agreed to try. And from then on, Dust Bunnies helped fluff pillows and soften blankets throughout the Kingdom of Soft.
Leo crawled out of his fort, yawning.
It was just a blanket fort again. Or was it?
He could have sworn the pillows winked at him as he fell asleep.
